EtherNav™ DED2500 Ethernet Data Converter/Transceiver, Terminal Server
The IFS DED2500 series data transceivers supports the bi-directional data transmission of RS-232, and 2-wire or 4-wire RS-485 data interfaces and all major data protocols over multimode and singlemode optical fiber, or CAT 5 cable. The unit converts common standard serial data to Ethernet data to be transported over Ethernet. Web based configuration ensures ease of installation requiring no electrical or optical adjustments. Each transceiver incorporates status indicating LED’s for monitoring of proper system operation.
EtherNav™ DECT/DECR3000 Contact Mapping Transceiver
The IFS DECT/DECR3000 series contact mapping transmitter and receiver transmits up to eight independent contact closures over Ethernet electrical 10/100 TX or 100 FX optical fiber. The DECT/DECR3000 utilizes microprocessor-based logic for exceptionally robust communications channel redundancy. These contact-closure relays allow a dome tamper switch or alarm event input to be added and its signal transmitted back to the monitoring location. By accomplishing this over an Ethernet network eliminates the need for additional wiring to support the alarm contact closure. The DECT/DECR3000 supports multiple interface and media conversion can be accomplished when performing the contact monitor function.
