Danish fiber expert Eniig chooses IFS Field Service Management to support new wholesale concept
In addition to managing its own fiber network, Eniig uses IFS service solution to expand its business proposition by providing technicians and maintenance support to other Danish fiber network suppliers
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, today announces that Danish energy and digital communications expert Eniig has chosen to deploy IFS Field Service Management (FSM) including functionality for planning & scheduling optimisation to increase its effiency as it broadens its fiber offering to Danish customers.
Danish fiber supplier Eniig was in need of new technology in order to support its new initiative to become a reseller of its own fiber net. Eniig selected IFS Field Service Management to increase its operational efficiency, both from a back office and planning perspective as well as to support technicians with a mobile tool to assist them in their daily work.
”The Danish fiber market is changing. As a supplier of fiber to large parts of the Jutland region, Eniig is able to offer suppliers like TDC and others to rent our fiber net and offer it to their customers. We are in fact becoming a reseller of our own fiber net. In order to support this, we were in need of new technology, both to support our new wholesale concept, but also to provide SLAs on services carried out for other suppliers on other fiber nets. With IFS, we can now offer appointment booking for other suppliers in order to increase efficiency across our operations. At the same time, our technicians are equipped with a mobile device to support their daily job and make them more efficient,” said Henrik Møller Nielsen, Director at Eniig.
As part of the deal, Eniig will use IFS Field Service Management instead of its previous mix of standard Excel sheets and technicians working directly in Microsoft Axapta. Phase 1 (wholesale) is due to go live on 1 June and Phase 2 (dynamic dispatch etc.) will follow in December 2018.
