IFS Supply Chain - Rental Management


This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the Rental Management functionality of IFS Supply Chain related to the IFS Applications.

Target Audience

Those who need to be able to identify and state the essential decisions to be made, basic data to be created and processes involved in the setting up of Rental Management in IFS Applications™.

  3. Rent In – Create PR / PO, Receive & Start Rental
  4. Rent In – Events & End Rental
  5. Rent In – Transactions, Accruals & invoicing
  6. Rental to Projects – Basic data & Create Project demands
  7. Internal Rental – Receive Parts from stock & from external suppliers
  8. Internal Rental – Start Rental, create events & end rental
  9. Internal Rental - Generate rental transactions & view postings
  10. Rent to Projects - Create Project demands across sites (with the same company & different companies)
  11. Rent out – Basic data, customer order creation & deliver & handle Mobilization WO
  12. Rent Out – Start Rental, create events & End Rental
  13. Rent Out – Create Customer Return, replacement Order & handle De-Mobilization WO
  14. Rent Out – generate Transactions, postings and invoices

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Understand the process flows, and the connection of Rental with other departments
  2. Demonstrate the part contents of the Rental Part and Set-up additional basic data that is used in the Rental Part flows
  3. Create and process Purchase Requisitions / Purchase Orders and receipts for Renting in parts from suppliers
  4. Create and process Customer Orders for renting out Parts to customers
  5. Create and process project requirements for Rental Parts
  6. Handle the management of Rental parts by Start Rental, End Rental, returning parts and making adjustments to hire rates for Rent in, Rent Out and Internal Rental
  7. Create rental accruals, postings and invoices for Rent In, Rent Out and Internal Rental
