Oil and gas service provider Yinson looks to new horizons with IFS Applications 10
Leading offshore service provider chooses IFS to drive digital transformation
London, May 28, 2019 – IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that Yinson, one of the world’s leading Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) operators, has chosen to upgrade to IFS Applications™ 10 in order to digitalise core processes.
Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur and operating mainly in Asia and Africa, Yinson has been running IFS Applications since 2015 to support mission-critical on- and offshore business processes, including project management, finance, document management, procurement, maintenance, and logistics. Powered by excellent financial and operational performance, the company is committed to capture market share and optimise operations.
To power its growth, Yinson has decided to upgrade to IFS Applications 10 as well as expand with new capabilities to further enhance operational efficiency without a significant increase in headcount. In addition, the IFS platform will support strategic digitalisation initiatives such as condition-based and first-line maintenance.
“Given our strong forward momentum and growth plans, we needed a state-of-the-art ERP platform that could scale with our business while enabling robust functionality for project execution and flexible operations of our fleet of six FPSO/FSO vessels,” said Eirik Barclay, Chief Executive Officer, Yinson Offshore Production. “By upgrading to IFS Applications 10, we will have the tools to improve project control, enhance our maintenance efficiency, reduce risk, and ensure compliance with local and international regulations. The upgrade also opens up new horizons for intelligent enablers such as IoT and AI, which have the potential to redraw the map in terms of operational efficiency.”
Elni Kullmer, IFS Managing Director, Nordics, added, “We are proud of the continued trust industry-leading business like Yinson place in our solutions and people. A happy and dynamic customer base is one of IFS’s hallmarks and a key component of our remarkable performance. The upgrade reinforces IFS’s unique position as one of the industry’s only vendors capable of offering the necessary breadth and depth of functionality to support project-centric and asset-intensive businesses. We look forward to working with Yinson to deploy a platform for growth and continuous innovation.”
IFS Applications 10 will be deployed for on- and offshore staff working in six countries around the world.
