The goal of IFS’s Supplier Diversity Program is to foster the promotion, growth and development of minority, women and other diverse owned enterprises.

What is a diverse business?

At least 51% owned and controlled/operated by a U.S. Citizen in one of the following categories or ethnicities:

  • African American
  • Asian Indian
  • Asian Pacific
  • Hispanic
  • Native American
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender
  • Service Disabled Veteran
  • Veteran
  • Woman

NMSDC - If the prospective supplier is minority-owned, the business can become certified by the National Minority Supplier Development Council or one of its regional affiliates at www.nmsdc.org.

WBENC - If the business is woman-owned, the business can obtain certification with the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council at www.wbenc.org.

NGLCC - Contact the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce for certification as a Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual or Transsexual owned business at www.nglcc.org.

U.S. Dept. of Veteran Affairs - If the supplier is a service-disabled veteran or veteran owned, please contact the USDVA for documentation to verify your status at www.va.gov.
