ABOUT THE COURSE

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the Engineering Change Management functionality of IFS Engineering related to the IFS Applications. This is also one of the courses towards gaining the IFS Certified Practitioner accreditation for Engineering Consultants. It enables students to cover and prepare the Engineering Change Management specification topics for “IFS Practitioner Consultant - Engineering” exam.

Those who need to be able to identify and state the essential decisions to be made, basic data to be created and processes involved in the setting up of Engineering Change Management in support of IFS Engineering in IFS Applications.

  • To enable students to understand the Engineering Change Management process, its benefits and uses
  • To be aware of the setup of Change Management Basic Data for Change Request and Change Order
  • To enable students to demonstrate how to create, activate, process or cancel a Change Request
  • To enable students to view and connect/disconnect various business objects in IFS Applications™ to a Change Request
  • To enable students to demonstrate how to create, analyze, approve, perform, complete, cancel or re-open a Change Order
  • To enable students to create and manage Approvals for Change Request and Change Orders
  • To enable students to connect/disconnect a Project Activity and Cost Element to a Change Order to update Project Planned Cost
  • To enable students to attach documents to a Change Request and a Change Order
  • To enable students to generate, create, develop, process and complete Change Order Actions associated with Change Order Lines and connect/disconnect various business objects in IFS Applications™ to Change Order Actions
  • To enable students to understand how Engineering Change Management is integrated with PDM Impact Analysis
