IFS Implementation Case Study - Shinano Kenshi Co., Ltd.

Reforming Global Demand and Supply Management by Reconstructing Overseas Base Systems with IFS

The core system indispensable for reforming global demand and supply management was previously operated with individual optimization at each production and sales base, and the collaboration was not sufficient. As the number of bases increased, the supply chain became more complex. Challenges such as the inability to view inventory from sales bases to production bases, the inability to trace order shipment status centrally, and the lack of automation in ordering between related companies also arose. In integrating the core system, the company adopted the latest version of IFS, IFS Applications 10. In addition to the ease of transition from IFS 2003, which has been used for many years, effective utilization of existing assets, and user proficiency, they evaluated the high rate of business compatibility, multi-language support, and multi-currency support. (IFS Applications is the former product name of IFS Cloud.)

  • The evaluation of IFS Applications focused on the superiority of production-related functions. Additionally, we anticipated the inter-site data collaboration features.
