Trust IFS Products
Secure by design and transparent by default, across every deployment option and for every customer.

One AI business, built to be trusted
Every IFS AI product comes from the same AI Business Unit where the Global Head of AI Trust, the COO AI, and the Chief Product Officer operate under a single mandate: build AI that is genuinely trustworthy, not just described that way.
Cathie Hall brings the customer and product perspective. Matt Kempson runs the business that builds every one of those products. Governance is not separate from what they do it is how the AI Business Unit operates.
AI Services
The infrastructure and AI services layer that every IFS AI product is built on.
IFS AI runs on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, hosted on Microsoft Azure, with security and compliance controls built in not bolted on.
How it works
Each customer environment runs on its own dedicated instance, fully isolated from every other customer. IFS operates and monitors the platform 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Customers can choose their hosting geography to meet data residency requirements. Access is encrypted end-to-end, with support for single sign-on and multi-factor authentication.
What it does not do
No shared infrastructure. Your environment is single-tenant by architecture, not by policy. No other customer’s data passes through your instance.
No shared keys. Encryption keys are not shared across customer environments.
Independent assurance
IFS holds ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security management, and SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II attestations for cloud operations. Independent third-party penetration testing is conducted against a dedicated production-grade environment built to the same standards as customer environments. The latest report is available to customers under NDA.
LLMs, machine learning, and data services
IFS AI is designed to work with your data, not on behalf of everyone else’s.
How it works
IFS AI capabilities are delivered as embedded components within IFS Cloud workflows. The AI services layer supports multiple types of AI output content generation, forecasting, anomaly detection, recommendations, and optimization using large language models, machine learning models, and historical data, depending on the use case. Underlying models can be updated as technology evolves without changing the customer experience.

Governance and access
AI capabilities are accessed through the same role-based permission system as the rest of IFS Cloud. Administrators control which roles can access which AI features. Every action taken within an AI-assisted workflow is logged in the same audit trail as any other application action.
IFS Products
IFS Cloud
AI-powered ERP, EAM, and FSM solutions for industrial operations, asset-intensive industries, and field service.
Your ERP data stays fully under your control, and every action taken within it can be traced back to its source. Access is governed by permissions based on role, segregation of duties rules, and approval workflows, all configured and managed by your organization rather than by us, so people can only do what your own policies allow them to do. That means if your organization decides finance approvals require two signoffs, or that certain procurement actions are restricted to a specific team, the system reflects that decision exactly as you set it.
Every user action, approval, transaction, and configuration change is logged automatically, giving you a complete audit trail you can draw on for monitoring, investigation, or compliance reporting whenever you need it, without having to reconstruct events after the fact. Retention periods, system integrations, and master data governance are also yours to define and control, so decisions about how long data is kept, what external systems can connect, and how core records are maintained stay with your organization rather than with us. In practice, this means the safeguards protecting your business data are the ones you have chosen to put in place, applied consistently, and visible to you at every step.
Your asset data stays fully under your control, covering everything from asset records and maintenance history to inspection results, work orders, and the operational data your organization relies on day to day. Where sensors or industrial equipment are connected, that information flows in only when your organization has configured it to, so what gets captured and monitored is entirely your decision, not something imposed on you.
Your admins define the maintenance strategies, inspection requirements, and work authorization processes that govern how assets are managed, along with the approval chains and user permissions that sit behind them. You also decide which assets, facilities, equipment records, sensor inputs, and data sources connect to the system in the first place, so nothing is pulled in or exposed without your organization having made that call. Access to maintenance records, failure history, inspection results, and work orders can be restricted by role and responsibility, meaning the people who can see sensitive asset history are exactly the people your organization has chosen to allow.
Every change to asset records, maintenance activities, and system configurations is preserved in an audit trail, so you have a reliable, traceable record to support operational governance and regulatory compliance whenever it is needed. In practice, this means the way your assets are tracked and maintained reflects decisions your organization has made and can always account for, not settings applied on your behalf.
Your field service data stays fully under your control, from service requests and technician schedules to asset records, inventory, contracts, warranties, and the customer records your teams depend on. How that information is used to schedule work, assign resources, and track service activity reflects decisions your organization has made, not settings applied for you.
Your teams configure the scheduling rules, dispatch processes, technician permissions, approval workflows, and service entitlements that shape how field operations actually run, along with the customer access controls that sit around them. You decide which personnel can view or update work orders, customer records, inventory, warranties, and service contracts, so access to sensitive customer and service information is limited to exactly the people your organization has chosen to allow.
Business rules governing resource assignment, service delivery, and escalation paths remain entirely under your control, and every work order update, technician action, service event, approval, and transactional change is recorded automatically. That gives you a complete, traceable history to draw on for oversight, accountability, or compliance reporting whenever a question comes up about how a job was handled or who touched it along the way. In practice, this means the safeguards protecting your field service data are the ones your organization has put in place and can always account for.
Industrial AI
Individual AI products for industrial operations, logistics, field service, and more.
Unified logistics execution, financial control, and optimization with a full audit trail built in.
What it does
IFS.ai Logistics connects logistics execution, visibility, financial control, and continuous optimization across end-to-end supply chains. It handles shipment booking, carrier selection, routing, milestone tracking, invoice validation, dispute management, and emissions reporting aligned to the GLEC standard.
How trust is built in
Financial control is auditable by design. Invoice validation against contracted rate cards produces an audit trail for every check, every discrepancy, and every dispute resolution. Spend alerts and GL coding support traceability across finance and operations.
A fulfillment rules engine governs carrier selection and routing decisions. These are not opaque AI choices they follow defined business rules that customers configure and control.
Fragmented logistics data is standardized into a single semantic layer, eliminating the governance risk of inconsistent or duplicated data across systems.
What it does not do
IFS.ai Logistics does not make unilateral routing or carrier decisions. The rules engine follows customer-defined logic. Exceptions surface to human review.

Assurance
IFS.ai Logistics operates within a secure, compliant software environment. Compliance-relevant capabilities include auditable invoice validation and dispute handling, contract and supplier compliance checks, and integration with customs and compliance systems. Emissions tracking aligns to the Global Logistics Emissions Council standard.
From signal to action with a formal operational record at every step.
What it does
IFS.ai Operational Intelligence connects real-time asset data to operational KPIs, detecting anomalies early, reducing unplanned downtime, and creating a single source of truth for operational performance. It integrates with existing OT environments SCADA, DCS, process historians without replacing them.
Capabilities include performance dashboards (Explorer), anomaly detection and predictive maintenance signals (Sentinel), digitized shift handover with a formal operational record (Shift Log), and production loss and downtime tracking (A-PLUS).
How trust is built in
The AI detects, surfaces, and alerts. It does not execute. Every alert, every case raised, and every shift decision is captured in a traceable operational record. Human judgment executes the response.
When an anomaly is detected, Operational Intelligence can trigger a maintenance notification or work order in IFS Cloud EAM or a connected CMMS keeping the response inside governed maintenance processes, not outside them.
Shift Log creates a formal, searchable record of what happened, what was decided, and why reducing audit exposure and supporting regulatory compliance in environments where incomplete handovers create legal risk.
What it does not do
IFS.ai Operational Intelligence does not take autonomous action. It detects and alerts. Execution remains with humans and governed workflows.
It does not replace existing OT systems. It integrates with what is already there.

Assurance
Operational Intelligence is designed for environments where safety and regulatory scrutiny apply. Standardized electronic logbooks, traceable operational records, and consistent cause coding and loss accounting support compliance and audit readiness.
AI that acts within guardrails that are designed in, not set as an afterthought.
What it does
IFS Loops enables enterprises to deploy Digital Workers agentic AI that executes repetitive, high-volume, or time-sensitive business tasks across industrial workflows. Digital Workers connect systems, orchestrate workflows, and execute work continuously, with a complete audit trail of every action.
Agent Studio allows customers to configure, test, and govern Digital Workers before deploying them into production. Customers define the scope, test safely, monitor outcomes, and expand capability incrementally.
How trust is built in
Loops is built explicitly to address the concern about shadow AI that runs in the background, outside governance and oversight. Every Digital Worker operates within role-based access controls, defined permissions, and governance guardrails. Every action is logged. Every exception surfaces to human review.
Loops uses industrial-tuned models with defined guardrails, not general-purpose large language models in production. This supports predictable, controlled behavior in operational environments.
Human-in-the-loop checkpoints are built into the platform for critical decision points. Digital Workers do not execute high-impact actions without human authorization.
What it does not do
IFS Loops does not execute high-impact actions without human authorization. Approvals and human-in-the-loop checkpoints are built into the platform, not optional.
It does not operate outside defined permissions. Role-based controls and governance guardrails are set before deployment, not after.
It does not replace governed maintenance and operational processes. Digital Workers integrate with existing workflows and systems of record.
