Olivier Puech

Olivier Puech is a globally experienced technology and infrastructure executive with more than 30 years of leadership across telecommunications and digital infrastructure. He currently serves as Executive Vice President and President, International at American Tower Corporation, one of the world’s leading digital communications infrastructure companies.

 

In this role, Olivier leads American Tower’s international operations across more than 20 countries spanning Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia Pacific, growing the international business into a $4B+ operation. He has been a key architect of the company’s global expansion, including the execution of major, complex M&A transactions such as the $10B acquisition of Telefónica’s tower assets, significantly expanding American Tower’s global footprint and long-term growth platform.

 

Prior to American Tower, Olivier held senior executive roles at Nokia, where he led multibillion dollar businesses across Latin America, Asia Pacific, and the Americas during periods of significant industry transformation. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at Gemplus (now part of Thales), helping pioneer the global adoption of SIM card and digital identity technologies.

 

Olivier brings deep expertise in global operations, M&A, governance, and value creation, shaped by extensive experience working with governments, regulators, and multinational stakeholders. He has also served on the White House Advisory Council for Business in Africa. Olivier holds a degree in International Business from Kedge Business School in France and is fluent in five languages.
